Summary:

The U.S Mission in Canberra is seeking eligible and qualified applications for the position of Safety Program Coordinator.

Duties

As the Safety Program Coordinator you will have responsibility for assisting the Post Occupational Safety and Health Officer in carrying out the day-to-day functions of the Safety, Health, and Environmental Management (SHEM) and Fire Protection Division programs. The property and buildings that we operating in must be compliant with the Foreign Affairs Standards in addition to other requirements. The incumbent in this role will also provide support to other constituent posts such as the Consulates in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth as needed. This position reports to the senior American Safety Officer.

EXPERIENCE:
Three (3) years experience in occupational work, health and safety is required.

Education Requirements:

EDUCATION: Studies in Work Health Safety is required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: Fluent English reading, writing and speaking is required.
