The Regional Land Transport Department is responsible for the management and growth of Schenker’s land transportation business in Asia Pacific. As part of our growth initiatives, we are implementing a new TMS (Transportation Management System) and DBC (Digital Billing Component – extension of TMS) across Asia Pacific. In addition, we want to develop a network of integrated subsystems around our TMS to further enhance our system capability to complete in an ever-increasing digitized landscape.

As part of the team, you will be reporting to Senior Managers and Director. You will be involved in our TMS and DBC implementation and add value to a multi-million-dollar project. Activities include requirement gathering, system solutioning and configuration, analysis and process improvements and implementing new processes and tools to streamline our implementations.

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Identification, analysis and evaluation of current technology and innovation trends including an assessment of the business potential.
  • Project specific research and testing
  • Support Product team in the preparation, design, and implementation of system change request or enhancement.
  • Support Product team in the project/change request/demand work coordination.
  • Creation of presentations and creative communication media with a focus on knowledge and method transfer
  • Prepare training materials and conduct sharing sessions with country users.
  • Support with administrative activities
  • Analyze the current implementation process and propose initiatives for improvements.

  • Strongly interested in the latest developments in technology, transport management, mobility, and logistics IT system/solution.
  • Good analytical as well as conceptual skills
  • Good communication skills and a strong organizational talent
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Very good MS-Office knowledge, especially in PowerPoint
  • Some knowledge and/or experience in a logistics service provider company or consulting firm.
  • Some knowledge and/or experience in agile project implementation methodology.
  • Some knowledge and/or experience in operational finance.
  • Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents.
  • Ability to elicit requirements and communicate clearly with non-technical individuals, development teams, and other ancillary project members.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Be independent and self-driven.
