Pastry Chef [Bahrain]


 
  • Operate and manage the pastry section of a kitchen, working together with the other chefs
  • Prepare a variety of baked goods
  • Decorate and present pastries and baked goods in a tasteful and beautiful way
  • Managing inventory of ingredients and supplies.
  • Ensuring cleanliness and proper sanitation of the baking area.
  • Maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Creative ability with artistic skill in decorating baked goods.
  • Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately.
  • Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers.
  • Check the quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking.
  • Create new dessert recipes, and test new flavors.

Ideal Candidate

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a bakery chef within the hospitality and catering industry.
  • Proven experience as a pastry chef or baker.
  • Creativity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge & Competency

  • Solid understanding of pastry and baking tools, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of ingredients and their properties.
  • Exceptional proven ability of kitchen management
  • Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills
  • Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
  • Excellent pastry and cake decorating skills
  • Artistic and creative.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: BD200.000 - BD300.000 per month
