The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for providing support across the functional area of Human Resources including compensation, benefits, staffing, employee relations, equal employment opportunity (EEO), employee development, labour relations, and related areas. The position ensures adherence to company policies, procedures, and related government regulations (Australian / US).
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Under limited supervision, perform professional support activities across one or more HR functional areas
Contribute to the maintenance and implementation of HR policies, training programs, procedures and related activities
Maintain accurate data entry in the Australian and US HRIS and payroll systems, provide system support to managers and employees as required
Perform general administrative duties to support the HR team (filing, scanning, photocopying, scheduling, coordinating access for entry, etc.)
Perform HR functions that require discretion and independent judgement, prepare recommendations for assigned projects as required
Provide support and advice to employees and managers across one or more HR functional areas
Prepare and present required reports and data analysis
Assist with recruitment administrative processes as required
Ensure compliance with all site environmental health and safety requirements
Any other reasonable duties as requested
Minimum Essential
- Certificate III – Human Resources or,
- Equivalent demonstrated experience
Field: Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
Desirable
- Certificate IV – Human Resources
- Certificate IV – Workplace Training and Assessment
- CPHR / FCPHR or PHR / SHRM-CP Certification

EXPERIENCE – Minimum Essential
1 to 2 years – in a similar role performing HR administrative duties
WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND MENTAL DEMANDS
- The position is desk based and sedentary in nature, the ability to lift items up to 5kgs may be required occasionally.
STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIREMENTS
All personnel assigned to work at JDFPG shall be:
- At least 18 years of age.
- Able to fluently read, write and speak English
EHS REQUIREMENT
All Amentum personnel are responsible for understanding and complying with all site environmental, health and safety requirements. - Completing work tasks in a safe manner

- Red-Carding a Job - Employee right and responsibility to “STOP WORK” if a job is unsafe or possess a danger to the environment
